One of the best things about being a musician is playing with other people. Here are some resources of places that you can jam and learn to play contra dance music with musicians of all types:

• Roaring Jelly: Just starting to play and want to learn to play with others? Eastern Massachusetts longest running community band is a great place to start.
• The Strathspey and Reel Society of New Hampshire is a community band specializing in Scottish Music
• Second Saturday Contra Dance at the Concord Scout House has space for sit in musicians
• Windham, New Hampshire First Friday Dance has sit in musicians too!
• So does the Fourth Friday Dance in Milford, New Hampshire
• Thursdays during the summer before the VFW contra dance in Cambridge, Massachusetts finds the Front Porch Jam series happening
